Christmas or Xmas?
today is December 24th.
and obviously, tomorrow will be Christmas
and tonight would be Christmas Eve.
but how come i don`t feel anything special this season?
even though we`ve had a number of caroling sessions,
christmas parties, and gift giving, this is the first time
that i`m not excited or not anticipating for Christmas to
come. maybe, one factor is that this will be my first
Christmas with an incomplete family.
Papa`s in Canada. He used to be my only awake companion
during the Christmas Eve.
Mama and Vince would usually go to sleep like 1am while Papa
would wait until i come home from my friend`s house [[where i usually stay during the Christmas Eve]] and we would eat together afterwards.
i remember last december 2006, me and my papa just sat down in the
balcony and talked to each other in the peak of the Christmas Eve.
we don`t usually go on Christmas vacations and we prefer to just stay
at home because an annual reunion will be held the following day.
Christmas here in Davao is also different from other places.
the mayor BANNED FiREWORKS AND FiRECRACKERS.
which means that Christmas here is peaceful and quiet.
during the years when fireworks weren`t still banned,
i just to sleep at around 4am already because me and my friends really
have fun watching the firecrackers show in the sky.
we would run away from those falling remains of the firecrackers
and light up our own sparklers. :))
haha,. but this changed when this law was passed in Davao.
people sleep early and kids at heart like me find the night very boring
because of the fireworks-less sky.
i also had a petty argument with my mom.
well, what`s new?
i`m still actually clueless on how will we have noche buena
or if we would still have one.
coz my mom also is still clueless.
this week, i was also very busy because we had caroling
sessions with the LA Verna rondalla [[which i`m part of]] and the GKK La Verna Youth.
i`ve had so much fun because i made friends with almost everyone.
before, we were really shy to each other and we wouldn`t talk to one
another. this week, it was changed. i think it was because
we do see each other everyday. and it feels so awkward being with the
same people everyday but not talking to them.
haha. i`m not a friendly person that`s why i really exerted effort
in talking with them and giving topics so that our conversation would
flow casually. and unexpectedly, we had good bonding moments.
i actually had a slight crush on someone in the group which was
really really suprising for me. :)) this isn`t like the crush every teenage
girl has for a guy. he`s not that good-looking kasi. maybe i was attracted by his personality.
hahaha!

i don`t have an idea how am i gonna share this with my close friends.
hahaha! i actually attempted to tell this to one of my closest friends
but in the end, we just ended up talking about HER crush.
hahaha. only GOD and me knows who he is. :))
and i`m keeping my mouth shut because he might read this or someone
might relay the information from here. :))
